| Description/Notes: | Provide students with rigorous classroom and hands-on instruction in agricultural mechanics, welding, fabrication, agricultural structures, equipment design, repair, and maintenance. Serve as an FFA Advisor and support a comprehensive agricultural science program that integrates classroom instruction, supervised agricultural experiences, FFA leadership, and competitive events. Oversee agricultural mechanics projects, prepare and accompany students to welding and agricultural mechanics competitions, assist students with animal and other SAE projects, and share responsibility for the care, operation, and maintenance of the district agricultural barn and related facilities. |
| Qualifications: | • Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements, or related training and work experience for certification waivers under the District of Innovation Plan (DOI). • Demonstrated competency in agricultural mechanics, welding, fabrication, and agricultural science. • Valid Texas driver license and ability to meet district requirements for operating district vehicles, trailers, and equipment as assigned. |
| Salary Range: | Salary based on the Diboll ISD Teacher Salary Schedule (217 Day Schedule). Qualified candidates may receive salary placement credit for related industry/work experience on a one-year-for-one-year basis, in accordance with district guidelines. Supplemental stipends may also be assigned based on applicable responsibilities and additional duties associated with the position. Eligible teachers may earn additional annual compensation through the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA), with allotments ranging from $3,000 to $36,000 based on designation. |
| Benefits: | Group health insurance coverage is provided through TRS-ActiveCare, the statewide public school health insurance program. The district’s contribution to participating employee insurance premiums is $400 per month. |
