Primary Purpose
Provide instructional leadership, coaching, and support for Career and Technical Education (CTE) teachers and programs to ensure high-quality instruction, student engagement, and alignment with district curriculum, state standards, and industry expectations.
Support the Director of Career and Technical Education in the coordination, implementation, and continuous improvement of district CTE programs. Serve as the Director's designee and provide leadership for designated CTE responsibilities in the Director's absence or as assigned.
Qualifications
Education/Certification:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university required
Master's degree preferred
Valid Texas teaching certificate preferred
Career and Technical Education certification or demonstrated CTE experience preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Strong knowledge of effective instructional practices and instructional coaching
Knowledge of CTE programs, curriculum, TEKS, programs of study, and industry-based certifications
Understanding of state and federal requirements related to Career and Technical Education
Ability to coach, mentor, and support teachers with varying levels of teaching experience
Ability to support industry professionals transitioning into the classroom
Ability to analyze student performance and program data
Ability to develop and facilitate professional learning
Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
Ability to build effective relationships with teachers, administrators, students, parents, and community/industry partners
Qualifications: Experience:
Minimum three years of successful teaching experience preferred
Career and Technical Education teaching experience strongly preferred
Experience in instructional coaching, teacher leadership, curriculum development, or campus/district leadership preferred
Salary Range: Administrative Pay Scale
PG 4 217 days
$70,929 - 92,977
