| Qualifications: | Education/Certification/Experience: o Master’s degree in educational administration. Texas principal or other appropriate Texas certificate. Advanced Education Leadership (AEL) certification, or Instructional Leadership Development (ILD) certification. Texas Teacher and Evaluation Support System (T-TESS) certification. Three years of secondary teaching experience preferred. Two years of experience in an instructional leadership role as a secondary principal/asst. principal or equivalent in a growing progressive school district. Bilingual preferred. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: o Demonstration of leadership ability in present assignment, working knowledge of Designing Engaging Work, curriculum, instruction, and assessment thorough understanding of school administrative operations o Ability to manage budget and personnel o Ability to align leadership behaviors and actions to District vision, mission and beliefs o Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral forms with all levels of management o Ability to acquire information regarding different subjects, analyze select and present information in an acceptable form o Ability to implement policies and procedures o Working knowledge of use of curriculum resources and tools and effective instruction practices. o Ability to evaluate instructional program and teacher effectiveness o Ability to analyze, interpret and utilize data for effective instructional leadership o Ability to provide leadership in the following areas; organization and management of total campus operation budgeting, technology, curriculum development, instructional practices, assessment systems, scheduling, etc. o Excellent organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills |
