Campus Description: Starting at: $52,000 + commensurate with experience.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Job Function<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Under the supervision of the Executive Director of HR, the Human Resource Generalist works to:<br /> 1. Ensure an overall effective and viable human resource system; and<br /> 2. Coordinates the hiring process.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Duties:<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following. Other duties may be assigned by the Executive Director of HR.<br /> <br /> Keeps current with the charter school’s Human Resource Policy and Procedures Manual and proactively gives recommendations regarding their appropriate use to the administration.<br /> Assists with the maintenance of complete job description documentation.<br /> Assists in the security and maintenance of personnel files.<br /> Assists with the training of all interviewers for proper interviewing techniques and compliance with all applicable laws.<br /> Reviews employment applications and all associated documents for completeness and accuracy.<br /> Informs newly hired personnel of job duties and responsibilities, compensation and benefits, work schedules and working conditions, policies, promotional opportunities, and other information.<br /> Maintains records and provides reports as necessary regarding resumes, applicant flow, and employee selection (in computer database and files).<br /> Schedules and attends on site Career Fairs as needed to expand the network of candidates for TBP.<br /> Manages the various platforms necessary to attend the variety of virtual Career Fairs and recruits appropriate campus staff to attend.<br /> Prepares and posts job openings internally and externally as appropriate.<br /> Assists in reaching out to candidates using a variety of methods including social media, partnerships with universities, etc.<br /> Compiles data from personnel records and prepares reports.<br /> Performs reference and background checks on applicants and/or ensures such checks are done before hire.<br /> Prepares and issues agreements for approval.<br /> Assists with the development and implementation of teacher retention strategies.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Skills & Qualifications<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Due to the confidential nature of the information processed by this position, in each of the previous categories, it is expected that this employee will maintain a high level of confidentiality.<br /> <br /> To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to grasp, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and /or move up to 25 pounds.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Requirements<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred.<br /> • One to two years of related experience and/or training.<br /> <br /> - Fluent in Spanish preferred
