The position works with finance, senior leadership, and hiring managers to align compensation strategy with district objectives. Reports to the Chief Human Resources Officer and supervises assigned Human Resource Services staff. |

| Description/Notes: | Key Responsibilities: -Oversee the district's compensation program, including job descriptions, salary surveys, and position reclassifications. -Administer salary placement procedures for new hires and ensure compliance with federal wage and overtime laws. -Provide oversight of health insurance, wellness, and optional benefits programs, including vendor and third-party administrator relationships. -Research and recommend annual changes to the compensation plan, salary schedule, and service calendars; update compensation documents and present them to district leadership and the Board of Trustees. -Research and recommend updates to benefits and wellness programs for compliance with state and federal guidelines and competitiveness statewide. -Oversee the district's stipend budget and related processes. -Conduct salary studies and cost analyses of staffing allocations, salaries, and wage adjustments for the budget process. -Oversee monitoring and reconciliation of the district's position control systems. -Develop system requirements and quality control procedures for accurate issuance of board-approved pay increases and employee record integrity. -Develop and direct employee wellbeing programs. -Oversee HRS technology applications in assigned areas, including user testing and training. -Develop and update classification and compensation handbooks, resource manuals, and guidelines. -Prepare the department's annual operating budget recommendations and monitor assigned budgets. -Manage and resolve employee escalations from intake through resolution. -Supervise, evaluate, and develop assigned staff. -Ensure compliance with federal and state law, State Board of Education rules, and local Board policy. |
| Qualifications: | -Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. -Four years of related experience, including two years in a supervisory capacity. -Knowledge of HR and supervisory practices, school finance and budget principles, federal and state labor standards, and wage and salary administration. -Skill in analyzing complex information and communicating in writing and verbally. -Ability to solve complex problems, build consensus, and develop long-range plans. |
