| Description/Notes: | To supervise the district’s English Language Arts Department. To improve the quality of instruction and to supervise the implementation and development of district expectations in English Language Arts programs. |
| Qualifications: | QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Certification: Master’s degree from accredited university or college Valid Texas teaching certificate in English, Reading, ELAR, or Core Subjects Mid-Management Certification Special Knowledge/Skills: Working knowledge of curriculum and instruction K-12 Ability to evaluate instructional programs and teaching effectiveness Ability to manage budget and personnel Ability to interpret data, policy, and procedures Ability to plan, organize, and work with committees Strong communication, public relations and interpersonal skills Proven ability to work with students, parents, subordinates, peers, and supervisors Specific knowledge of curriculum, instruction, TEKS and assessments for PK-12 Reading Languages Arts Experience: Three years in instructional leadership/supervisory role, preferred At least five years of classroom teaching experience |
