Description/Notes: The role of the School Psychologist in Bellville ISD is to perform professional psychological work in assessment, behavior management, and counseling services for students with emotional disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, learning disabilities, behavioral disorders and related areas. The School Psychologist will assess the psychological and psycho-educational needs of students referred to special education services. The School Psychologist will write reports, provide diagnostic information, effective recommendations, and work collaboratively with all staff to provide the most appropriate programs for students with disabilities. Additionally, in BISD, all stakeholders are considered learners and are expected to continue to learn, grow, and positively contribute to the world around them.
Qualifications: Master’s Degree in psychology from accredited college or university
Valid School Psychologist license issued by the State Board of Examiners of Psychologists
2 Years of experience as a School Psychologist in public schools (Preferred)
Salary Range: ($61,000-$74,000)
