| Job Title: | High School Principal |
| School: | Melissa High School |
| Campus Description: | At Melissa High School, we believe great schools are built on relationships, high expectations, and a shared commitment to helping every student thrive. As the flagship high school of Melissa ISD, we are proud to serve a rapidly growing and deeply connected community that values excellence, belonging, and opportunity for all students.

Melissa High School is more than a campus. It is a community rooted in purpose, pride, and people. We believe students achieve their highest potential when they are known, supported, challenged, and celebrated. We strive to create an environment where every student feels seen, every staff member feels valued, and every family feels connected to the life of the school.

As an International Baccalaureate campus, we are committed to developing globally minded learners who think critically, lead with character, serve others, and pursue excellence in all they do. We believe learning should be rigorous, relevant, and meaningful, while also honoring the unique talents, passions, and aspirations of every student.

At Melissa High School, we believe excellence comes in many forms. Academic achievement matters. Athletics matter. Fine arts matter. Career & Technical Education (CTE) matters. Leadership, service, student organizations, and extracurricular involvement matter. We reject the idea that one pathway defines success. Instead, we believe every student deserves access to meaningful experiences and opportunities that prepare them for college, career, military service, and life.

Our campus culture is grounded in the Melissa ISD core values of integrity, loyalty, honesty, humility, and hope. These values shape how we lead, how we treat one another, and how we make decisions. We believe in continuous improvement, high expectations paired with strong support, and the understanding that growth happens when people feel safe, encouraged, and challenged to become their best.

Melissa High School is a place where Friday nights bring a community together, performances fill rooms with pride, classrooms inspire curiosity, and student accomplishments are celebrated across every program and pathway. We believe schools should feel like home, places where relationships matter, traditions are honored, hard work is celebrated, and every student knows they belong.

Above all, we believe leadership matters, culture matters, and students deserve adults who care deeply, serve selflessly, and work tirelessly to create opportunities that help every Cardinal succeed. |
