Assist the department director to support independent school and charter districts through Academic Performance and Leadership Impact development and implementation efforts. Under the direction of the department leader, assist and build capacity with campus leadership teams through professional development, observation, coaching, and feedback to improve student achievement and promote excellence in educational programs to meet and exceed state and federal accountability standards. Coach, model, and lead capacity building for others within the Academic Performance and Leadership Impact team and the Strategic District Support Data Lead; and serve as a point of contact for all Academic Performance and Leadership Impact team communication.

Major Responsibilities:

1. Support the Director in the development of the Academic Performance and Leadership Impact model and services.
2. Support the Director in the operationalization of the Academic Performance and Leadership Impact team’s support across participating LEAs.
3. Implement program structures, service delivery plans, and timelines established for the initiative.
4. Coordinate communication and scheduling of services for LEAs, campuses and leaders.
5. Coordinate the work schedules and service delivery logistics for Academic Performance and Leadership Impact staff.
6. Facilitate internal coordination to ensure staff assignments align with school needs and program timelines.
7. Support the Director in managing team workflows and addressing operational challenges.
8. Develop and maintain operational systems for tracking services, independent school or charter district campus engagement, and implementation progress while also continually monitoring the progress of those leaders being coached through the Academic Performance and Leadership Impact team.
9. Monitor independent school or charter district campuses and leadership in services and ensure consistent documentation of services provided.
10. Maintain records and operational procedures.
11. Monitor implementation in progress and flag operational issues that may affect services.
12. Collect and organize service implementation data, service delivery metrics, and participation information.
13. Prepare routine program updates and operational reports for the Director.
14. Support the development and distribution of materials, tools, and communication for participating independent school or charter districts and campuses.
15. Lead and support identified campuses with the development, implementation, and monitoring of instructional systems aligned to the Effective Schools Framework and New Education System Model (NES).
16. Develop, present, and facilitate professional learning sessions, series, convenings, and conferences related to school improvement systems, instructional leadership, and/or leadership development.
17. Coach, model, and manage capacity building within the department as it relates to Academic Performance and Leadership Impact team development.
18. Engage in professional learning to maintain knowledge and skills in area(s) of responsibility.
19. Provide technical assistance and services as specified by any applicable federal grant that funds this position.

Supervision/Personnel Management

1. In coordination with the cabinet member and department director, establish clear expectations, set goals, and provide regular feedback to promote accountability and performance improvement.
2. In coordination with the cabinet member and department director, manage team workloads and project timelines to ensure priorities are met and deliverables are completed with high quality.
3. Supervise and support assigned staff, including onboarding, training, and performance management.
4. Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performing workplace.
5. Ensure compliance with Region 4 policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal guidelines.
Qualifications: Education
Master’s degree

Certification

1. Texas Educator Certificate
2. Principal or Mid-management Certificate
(If any of the following certifications are missing, they must be obtained by the next Region 4 delivery cycle.)

1. T-TESS Certification
2. T-PESS Certification
3. AEL Certification


Experience

1. Three years of combined experience in campus administration (Principal or Assistant Principal) with at least one year as a campus Principal and a track record of improving student outcomes
2. Two years of district-level leadership experience
3. Five years of teaching experience in an independent school or charter district campus

Special Knowledge and Skills

1. Demonstrated success in leading major district/campus improvement initiatives
2. Broad knowledge of school leadership and administration
3. Broad-based knowledge of effective campus practices in instructional leadership, staff and student culture, well-supported teachers, high-quality curriculum, and data-driven instruction
4. Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
5. Demonstrated skill in motivating and influencing others towards outcomes through the use of effective coaching
6. Demonstrated ability to analyze data effectively to inform decision-making about necessary change
7. Demonstrated ability to develop and manage the implementation of complex, multi-phase projects
8. Knowledge of best practices related to change management, including, but not limited to, those practices that can either impede or empower leadership
9. Exhibits a growth mindset and is open to receiving job-embedded coaching
10. Ability to lead projects and project teams, plan, develop, and execute all project goals
11. Ability to work flexible schedules based on the needs of the department and LEAs serviced

Preferred Qualifications:

Doctoral degree
Superintendent certification
Demonstrated success in leading major district/campus improvement initiatives
Salary Range: $102,075 to $120,090 Per Year
