| Description/Notes: | White Settlement ISD is seeking a strong instructional leader committed to supporting student achievement, maintaining a positive campus culture, and building strong relationships with students, staff, and families. The ideal candidate will be student-centered, collaborative, highly visible, and dedicated to continuous improvement in academics, operations, and school climate. Primary Purpose Assist the principal in providing leadership and supervision in administering the educational program of the high school campus. Promote a safe and effective learning environment while supporting instructional excellence, student success, staff development, and campus operations. Qualifications Master’s degree from an accredited college or university Valid Texas Mid-Management, Principal, or Principal as Instructional Leader certificate Valid Texas teaching certificate Minimum experience as required by district and certification standards Strong knowledge of curriculum, instruction, school operations, and student management practices Experience at the secondary level preferred Major Responsibilities and Duties Assist in the supervision and evaluation of instructional and support staff Support implementation of curriculum, instructional best practices, and campus improvement initiatives Promote a positive campus culture focused on high expectations and student success Assist with student discipline, attendance, behavior intervention, and restorative practices Monitor academic performance and support intervention systems for student achievement Assist with campus safety, security, emergency procedures, and supervision of student activities Coordinate and support extracurricular activities, events, and campus operations as assigned Collaborate with counselors, teachers, parents, and district staff to support student needs Participate in staffing, scheduling, testing coordination, and operational planning Use data to support decision-making and continuous improvement efforts Maintain compliance with district policies, state law, and accountability requirements Desired Characteristics We are seeking candidates who: Build strong relationships with students, staff, and families Demonstrate professionalism, visibility, and strong communication skills Maintain high expectations while supporting students and staff Are organized, proactive, and solution-oriented Value teamwork, accountability, and continuous growth Lead with integrity, consistency, and a heart for service Work Environment The assistant principal works in a fast-paced secondary school environment involving frequent interaction with students, staff, parents, and community members.
