| Description/Notes: | Job Summary Milano High School/Junior High is seeking a dedicated and innovative Technology Applications Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching technology and empowering students with essential skills for the digital age. This full-time position involves designing and delivering engaging lessons that promote critical thinking, creativity, and technical proficiency. The Technology Applications Teacher will foster a positive learning environment that encourages collaboration and exploration while preparing students for future academic and career opportunities. Responsibilities - Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum for technology applications that aligns with state standards and school objectives. - Create engaging lesson plans that incorporate hands-on activities, projects, and assessments to enhance student learning. - Teach students various technology applications, including but not limited to coding, graphic design, digital media, and productivity software. - Assess and evaluate student progress through various methods, providing feedback and support to help them achieve their goals. - Integrate emerging technologies into the classroom to enhance the learning experience and keep students informed about current trends. - Collaborate with other teachers and staff to promote interdisciplinary learning and integrate technology into other subjects. - Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with technology trends and educational best practices. - Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to foster a supportive and collaborative school community. - Manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment for all students. - Contribute to the development and implementation of school-wide technology initiatives and events. |
| Qualifications: | Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Education, Technology, or a related field. - Valid teaching certification in Technology Education or a related area. - Experience teaching technology applications or related subjects at the middle or high school level is highly desirable. - Strong knowledge of current technology trends, software applications, and digital tools. - Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. - Ability to create a dynamic and engaging learning environment that meets the diverse needs of students. - Proficiency in using educational technology and tools for teaching and assessment. - Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with educational technology advancements. - Passion for fostering a love of learning and helping students develop critical 21st-century skills. |
