Cushing ISD has approximately 550 students and 90 employees, serving grades pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade. The district covers 151 square miles, located in scenic Nacogdoches and Southwestern Rusk Counties. | Qualifications: | Job Requirements: - Masters Degree in educational administration from an accredited college or university - Valid Texas Superintendent Certificate - Five years of leadership in school administration in a Texas school district Board of Trustee Expectations for the New Superintendent: ● Experience in school leadership, preferably in a Superintendent or central office role ● A strong leader who is willing to make tough decisions ● Someone who can deliver the truth with grace and kindness ● Advocate for the district in the community and the region ● A servant’s heart for faculty, staff, and especially students ● Wants to be a part of the Cushing community |
