CENTER RESPONSIBILITIES



Process all personal timekeeping, travel reporting and other paperwork in a timely manner
Maintain professional attire and grooming appropriate for specific job position.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES



Provide supports for Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE)
Provide Special Education Support alongside General Education in the areas of MTSS (RTI Behavior) Tier 2/3, Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS), School Climate, Restorative Practices and Social Emotional Learning to help support students with behavioral challenges in Schoolwide and Classroom Environments
Provide High Quality Technical Assistance and Professional Development to LEAs in the areas of Transition and Autism
Evaluate the impact of training, products and services on the performance of students receiving special education services
Complete and maintain SBIEP training TOT and coaching requirements to oversee the required metrics and Fidelity of Implementation rubric requirements
Create, track, maintain and successfully meet goal metrics for assigned network/initiative activities [Transition and Autism]
Collaborate with department staff to maintain, track and report SECIP goal activity for quarterly reporting
Participate in designated local and state (e.g. networks) professional development activities, share information with ESC staff and appropriate regional personnel
Act as the first point of contact for LEAs, parents, agencies and other stakeholders in the areas of Autism and Transition procedures for students grade ECSE - Graduation


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS



Travel (meaning to drive one's own vehicle) to and from LEAs to fulfill program and project specifications are required. Out of region travel may also be required.
Coordinate and deliver effective training, staff development, and technical assistance in areas pertinent to the program or project.
Process required paperwork and reports in a timely manner
Model effective uses of technology in personal productivity and instructional applications
SPECIAL ASSIGNMENTS

Additional projects as assigned by supervisor or Executive Director
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Up to 226 working days
This is an at-will employment position.
In the event of an economic slump, a reduction-in-force may be necessary. Employees will be notified in writing.

Qualifications: QUALIFICATIONS



Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s Degree preferred
Five years teaching in the field of Special Education required
Valid Texas Teacher Certificate
Specialized knowledge in transition and autism preferred
Recommended by the Executive Director
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Executive Director may find appropriate and acceptable
Salary Range: Starts at $87,413.
