| Description/Notes: | Bandera High School is searching for an experienced History Teacher and Head Basketball Coach to join the BHS Family for the 2025-2026 school year. Additional Information: - Team planning with colleagues to ensure high quality instruction and assessment - Develop, modify and prepare curricula to ensure high quality instruction based upon student abilities and skill levels - Provide classroom instruction to whole groups, small groups, and individuals - Demonstrate the effective use of technology to enhance instruction and support student interest and growth - Design assessment tasks that allow students to demonstrate understanding in a variety of ways. - Collect and analyze student data to drive instruction - Collaborate with students, parents, and other members of staff, and provide meaningful feedback - Communicate necessary information and student progress regularly to students, colleagues, and parents - Work cohesively with the campus staff in a fast-paced atmosphere - Work cooperatively with Special Education teachers to modify curricula, and instruct and assess Special Education students in the regular classroom - Participate in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) - Participate in staff development activities and improve job-related skills - Other duties as assigned as per the needs of the District (Academic & Athletics) |
| Qualifications: | Requirements: - Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university - Texas Teaching License and appropriate endorsements for the grade levels and subjects taught - Two or more years coaching Basketball/Football |
| Salary Range: | Competitive as per the 2025-2026 BISD Teacher Pay Scale and Athletic Stipends |
| Benefits: | District contributes $350 per moth towards the employee's TRS Health Insurance. Additional District Athletic Stipends |
