Description/Notes: | Responsibilities - Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with state standards and promote early childhood development. - Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration and creativity. - Facilitate hands-on learning experiences that promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and social skills. - Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians through regular communication. - Collaborate with fellow educators, staff, and parents to support each child's individual learning needs. - Maintain a clean, organized, and well-equipped classroom that promotes a positive learning atmosphere. - Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices in early childhood education. - Implement classroom management strategies that promote respect, responsibility, and cooperation among students. - Plan and conduct parent-teacher conferences to discuss student progress and development. - Engage in school-wide activities and events to foster a sense of community and collaboration. |
Qualifications: | Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field. - Valid teaching certification or licensure in Early Childhood Education. - Previous experience working with elementary children in an educational setting is preferred. - Strong understanding of child development principles and early childhood education best practices. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. - Ability to create a dynamic and engaging learning environment that meets the diverse needs of students. - Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. - Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment for all students. - CPR and First Aid certification is a plus. - Passion for teaching and a genuine love for working with young children. |
Salary Range: | Based on experience |
Benefits: | BCBS TRS-Active Care Health Insurance. $150/month paid by the district and $75/month paid by the State of Texas Free childcare for first child, discount for others. After school care 4 day work week $500 Masters Stipend |
