| Description/Notes: | Ability to organize, coordinate, and present at district and campus professional development Strong knowledge of credit accrual and graduation requirements Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills Strong knowledge of PEIMS data standards for student data and special programs Strong knowledge of ECHS, CTE, Graduation Plans and endorsement sequences Strong knowledge of Threat Assessment and Student Evaluation and coordination of Threat Assessment Teams Ability to manage the Student Information System (Skyward) and coordinate training and resources related to the SIS. Strong knowledge of legislative requirements related to counseling, student safety and assessment. |
| Qualifications: | The Coordinator of Counseling Services shall have the general qualifications of a teacher as prescribed by the State Department of Education. The Coordinator of Counseling Services shall hold a master degree in counseling and Texas school counseling certification from an accredited college or university and supervisory, mid-management, administrator, or principal certification. The Coordinator of Counseling Services shall have had at least three (3) years of successful teaching experience and five (5) years of successful school counseling experience is preferred. |
