Located about 10 miles east of Midland, Texas, the district operates in a region known for its cotton farming, oil industry, and educational institutions. Currently, the district consists of four campuses: Greenwood Elementary School: Pre-K-2nd grade, Greenwood Intermediate: 3rd-5th grades, James R. Brooks Middle School: 6th-8th grades, and Greenwood High School: 9th-12th grades.<br /> <br /> Over the past fifteen years, our community has seen significant growth, creating exciting<br /> opportunities for Greenwood ISD to expand and enhance our educational programs. In 2023, a $286 million bond was approved to support a range of improvements and developments. This includes upgrades to facilities, increased safety and security measures, the construction of a new elementary school and intermediate school, updates to the middle school, and expanded capacity at the high school. Additionally, the bond will fund the creation of a new Pre-K center, the establishment of Career and Technical labs, new athletic and administrative offices, a student event center with a 2,000-seat gym and 2,000-seat auditorium, and a multi-purpose facility for both school and community events.<br /> <br /> It’s a great time to be a Greenwood Ranger! |

| Description/Notes: | Job Title: Director of Operations Reports to: Superintendent Primary Purpose: Responsible for the overall management, strategic planning, development, evaluation, and implementation of district maintenance, warehousing, and transportation functions. Supervise, evaluate, and make personnel decisions within the areas of maintenance, transportation, warehouse, and operations department staff. |
