Campus Description: | Pecos-Barstow-Toyah ISD is located west of Midland, Odessa, in rural Pecos, Texas. PBTISD has approximately 2,900+ students served by over 550 employees and includes 2 elementary schools, 1 middle school, 1 high school, and 1 alternative school. Led by superintendent Brent Jaco, PBT has undergone serious renovations and new construction projects for the last few years, and will continue through 2028. Both elementary campuses are brand new, featuring flexible learning spaces and state of the art instructional resources for teachers and students. This summer the district opened up their new daycare and a new CTE/Science facility for the high school. Description/Notes: | Direct and manage the district’s athletic programs and facilities, including extracurricular and intramural programs. Instruct and lead coaches in developing students' skills and abilities to excel in athletics. Provide each student with the opportunity to participate in an extracurricular athletic activity. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, University Interscholastic League (UIL), and local requirements. |
Qualifications: | Education/Certification: Valid Texas teaching certificate Master’s degree Valid Texas administrator certification required National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NIAAA) Certification, preferred Current first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and automated external defibrillator (AED) certificate Clear and valid Texas commercial driver’s license with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements, preferred Special Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of the overall operations of an athletic program Knowledge of coaching techniques and procedures Knowledge of federal, state, and UIL policies governing athletics Ability to instruct and supervise student-athletes Excellent public relations, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to speak effectively before groups of students, parents, and staff Experience: 5 years of successful teaching and coaching experience |
Salary Range: | $92,313.00 (min) to $134,223.00 (max) |
