| Description/Notes: | Paducah ISD is seeking a motivated and organized Family/Consumer Sciences teacher to join our exceptional team of educators. As a certified teacher, you will be responsible for teaching various levels of students using effective instructional methods. This position offers a unique opportunity to sponsor the school's FCCLA program. Goals to this programs is to provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in Family and Consumer Science and be the FCCLA advisor to a very successful program. Lead students to develop skills and fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society. Responsibilities •As a certified teacher, you will be responsible for teaching various levels of students using effective instructional methods •Teach Family/Consumer Sciences courses to students of varying learning levels •Develop and implement lesson plans using a variety of instructional methods •Sponsor the FCCLA program, including organizing competitions and events •Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum •Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices Other • Comply with federal, state, and local regulations related to the occupational area assigned. • Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures. |
| Qualifications: | • Possess Texas teaching certification • Possess a Bachelor's degree (preferably in Family/Consumer Sciences or related field) • Strong organizational and communication skills • Ability to work with students of varying learning levels |
