Campus Description: Primary Purpose:<br /> To supervise and help administer the District’s discipline program, student attendance and<br /> transfers as well as to provide sound educational support for BISD campuses and students.<br /> Qualifications:<br /> Education/Certification:<br /> Master’s degree<br /> Texas Teaching Certificate<br /> Principal Certification<br /> Special Knowledge/Skills:<br /> Knowledge of federal and state education law<br /> Knowledge of special education and Section 504 regulations and laws<br /> Understanding of the individual needs of students<br /> Ability to communicate effectively with staff, parents and the community<br /> Ability to implement policy and procedures<br /> Ability to interpret data<br /> Ability to manage budget and personnel<br /> Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills<br /> Experience:<br /> Three (3) years of administrative experience<br /> Major Responsibilities and Duties:<br /> 1. Supervise the activities of the District’s attendance officers and audits school attendance<br /> procedures. Provide guidance to principals regarding registration and attendance matters.<br /> 2. Assist with District’s professional development program in the area of discipline and audit school<br /> disciplinary procedures.<br /> 3. Coordinate with campuses regarding operations and revises the District’s Student Code of Conduct<br /> and Parent / Student Handbooks.<br /> 4. Serves as the District’s Hearing Officer for expulsions as well as the liaison to JJAEP.<br /> 5. Research parent complaints regarding student-related problems and respond to parents.<br /> 6. Evaluate and determine eligibility of student transfer (intra-district and inter-district) requests.<br /> 7. Serve as the liaison with city and county juvenile justice officials.<br /> 8. Maintain confidentiality of student and personnel information.<br /> 9. Salary Range: $83,489 - $117,945
