Description/Notes: Responsible for the overall management of the district’s academic division and providing leadership for the instructional program. Lead the strategic planning and implementation of curriculum and instruction programs. Ensure that the development and delivery of the academic programs are effective and efficient, incorporate district goals, and support student achievement. Responsible for the effective and efficient operation of the academic division that includes the following departments: Intervention, Special Programs, Bilingual/ESL, Curriculum and Instruction, Organizational Learning, Special Education, Career and Technology, CCMR, staff development, and Early Childhood.
Qualifications: Education/Certification:
Master’s degree from an accredited university in Educational Administration or a directly related field; valid Texas Administrator’s Certificate
Doctorate Preferred
Demonstrated success as a campus administrator or related experience

Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of curriculum and instruction
Knowledge of school and district organization, operations, policies, goals, and objectives
Ability to interpret data and evaluate instructional programs and teaching effectiveness
Ability to manage federal programs
Ability to manage budget and personnel
Ability to implement policy and procedures
Strong organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills

Experience:
Three (3) years of experience as a classroom teacher
Three (3) years of experience in principal roles
Experience in Pre K – 12 Leadership
Experience in a District Central Office
Experience as Assistant Superintendent
Salary Range: $135,500 to $155,000
