Scheduled to open Spring 2024, this future Bulldog will be responsible for leading the opening of Kilgore ISDs new $93M high school campus. With just over 1,150 students and 125 staff/faculty, Kilgore High School serves a diverse student population (5% Two or More Races, 13% Black/African American, 37% Hispanic, 45% White; 71% Economic Disadvantaged) and is known throughout East Texas as a campus founded in quality instruction, responsible citizenship, academic achievement, extracurricular excellence, and unequaled community support.<br /> <br /> *candidates for this principal position with proven and successful experience serving as a secondary campus principal or a district-level administrator with similar student populations will have opportunities for additional compensation |

| Description/Notes: | Primary Purpose: Direct and manage instructional program, including curriculum planning, review, implementation, and professional development. Supervise operations and personnel at campus level. Provide leadership to ensure high standards of instructional service. Oversee compliance with district policies, success of instructional programs, and operation of all campus activities. Maintain a safe, pleasant, and effective educational atmosphere for the students and staff. | Qualifications: | Education Masters degree in Educational Administration or equivalent Texas principal or other appropriate Texas certificate Certified Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS) evaluator/appraiser Special Knowledge/Skills Working knowledge of curriculum and instruction Ability to evaluate instructional program and teaching effectiveness Ability to manage budget and personnel Ability to interpret policy, procedures, and data Strong organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills Experience Three years classroom teacher experience Two years Assistant Principal experience preferred |
