Description/Notes: Design a model system to manage the Districts efforts regarding student safety, social/emotional health and wellbeing, discipline/behavior management, and attendance. Implementation of this newly created model will be done by supporting and enhancing already existing programs, compliance with laws and mandates, and direct interface with all stakeholders (students, parents, staff, law enforcement, school board, community agencies, community leaders, and individual community members) to co-create new and innovative programs and alliances that exhibit the appropriate level of responsiveness to adapt for individual needs as they arise.
Qualifications: Education/Certification:
Masters degree in counseling or related field
Current Texas license as either Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), preferred
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), preferred

Special Knowledge/Skills
Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment on significant matters directly related to the districts mental health programs, services, staff and students.
Advanced knowledge to analyze, interpret, and make deductions in a variety of circumstances.
Excellent written and oral communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
Maintain professional appearance, behavior and attitude.
Experience with decision-making in a highly collaborative environment.
Strong computer and finance management skills.
Ability to work in a fast environment and be multi-tasked oriented.
Expertise and knowledge about mental health challenges, supports, interventions, and strategies; expertise in suicide, self-harm, substance abuse, child abuse, and social and emotional prevention, intervention and support.

Salary Range: The position is paid on the Administrative/Professional Salary Scheduled with a minimum annual salary of $67,948.00 with additional compensation based on years of experience (maximum is 10% for exact experience).
Benefits: The District offer Health insurance with Blue Cross Blue Shield (TRS), paying $300.00 towards the monthly premium. Other supplemental benefits are available at the cost to the employee to include dental, vision, and many other benefits.

The District pays for $20,000 of life insurance as an added benefit to the employee, at no cost to the employee, as well as an Employee Assistance Program.
