Serve in a leadership role for the online UT high school programs in coordination with the UT High School leadership team and College of Education staff. Direct the Pathways in Technology Early College High School (P-Tech) program. Coordinate processes for instruction, interventions, student engagement, state reporting, and communications to support students and engage with stakeholders.

This position is funded through 8/31/2024 with continuation contigent upon performance and funding.

Responsibilities:
Lead and establish systems for the implementation of the Pathways in Technology Early College High School (P-Tech) program at UTHS. Ensure program alignment with all P-Tech goals by leading the development of a career focused, work-based educational program. Establish and coordinate partnerships with Texas Institutions of Higher Education, regional businesses, and local industries. Consistently monitor student progress to ensure alignment with the six P-Tech benchmarks. Track and report student progress and outcomes throughout the designation process. Plan and coordinate the recruitment of curriculum and instructional contractors to design innovative, high-quality curriculum. Recruit, manage, supervise, and support P-Tech staff in alignment with state, district, and university policies.

Oversee operations and establish and maintain systems for student support services, including attendance and interventions, RTI programs, student engagement efforts, Gifted and Talented programs and student records. Supervise and evaluate employees who work directly with counseling, interventions, and student engagement programs. Communicate effectively with students, parents, teachers, partner schools, and state agencies. Serve as a lead to prepare, transition, and implement the RTI process for multiple campuses.

Participate in the leadership of the UT Online High School by assisting with registration, instruction, policy, planning, student support, discipline, PEIMS reporting, and daily operations for UT High School in coordination with the leadership team. In absence of the Principal, perform as acting Principal of UT High School. Participate in development of the Continuous Improvement Planning process by setting goals, communicating the vision, and tracking and reporting data. Assist with preparation and implementation of program plans for student registration, tutoring, testing, and support for students receiving accommodations. Hire, evaluate, and manage staff for student services.

Provide support in the area of instructional leadership to ensure students and staff continually improve and achieve high expectations. Recruit, manage, supervise, and support teachers in alignment with state, district, and university policies. Implement teacher evaluation system annually in coordination with campus leadership, review reports to track student progress and participation, and provide training for instructional staff in a variety of delivery models, including face-to-face and webinars. Assist campus leadership in the management of the district curriculum master and campus course masters in the Skyward SIS. Lead and participate in curriculum design for online P-TECH courses and trainings. Assist in grade reporting and testing processes including providing training to staff, aligning systems to state policies, preparing manuals, forms, and additional documents.

Perform other duties and tasks as assigned to support the UT High School District.
Qualifications: Required Qualifications:
Masters degree in Educational Administration, Curriculum and Instruction, Instructional Technology, or a related field. Texas Principal certification and teaching certification. Two years of experience in a leadership position at the campus or district level including experience supervising staff. Three years of teaching experience with students in grades K-12. Demonstrated ability as a successful educator who has achieved positive results for students. Advanced knowledge of Texas public high school curriculum and graduation requirements. Advanced knowledge and experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) or Career and Technology Education (CTE) subjects. Advanced knowledge of course pathways in dual credit leading to an associate degree. Experience preparing, reviewing, and using data as a team leader to drive decision-making. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Advanced technology skills. Advanced skills and experience in project management. Extensive experience preparing reports and tracking student and program data to meet target outcomes and timelines. Excellent presentation skills in a variety of delivery modes. Professional demeanor.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with an Early College high school. High school leadership and teaching experience. Experience leading campus intervention programs. Extensive experience working in Texas public schools. Experience working as an Assistant Principal, Principal, Director, or Dean of Instruction in Texas public schools. More than two years of experience in a campus leadership position, supervising staff, or designing online curriculum. Experience teaching a high school STEM or P-Tech subject. Experience designing a master schedule or working with Skyward SIS or Canvas LMS. Experience leading state funded programs and achieving target outcomes. Fluency in a second language.

Salary Range: $76,000/yr + depending on qualifications
