Description/Notes: Provide leadership in implementation, support, and sustainment of campus and district professional learning communities.
Collaboratively develop and effectively implement the district professional learning plan.
Regularly communicate and collaborate with district level staff regarding goals and objectives of the district professional learning program.
Coordinate, monitor, and evaluate the logistics of all district professional development.
Develop a proactive and assertive communication plan for all professional development programming and professional development activities.
Develop, coordinate, and monitor the survey process to evaluate the effectiveness of the professional development program and individual trainings.
Monitor, evaluate, and recommend changes for district professional development guidelines when appropriate.
Collaboratively develop and maintain the annual District Professional Development Calendar.
Coordinate the process to monitor the professional development programs at each campus, making sure that the goals and objectives are aligned with the needs assessments of the campus and district.
Supervise coordinators/facilitators within the professional development division of Curriculum and Instruction.
Collaborate with campus administrators, individual teachers and teams of teachers to design and plan for job-embedded professional development, including teacher planning, in grade-level or department meetings, in the classroom, and in small collaborative learning teams.
Generate and secure training sessions which result in increasing numbers of district trainers in a variety of areas across the professional development framework strands.
Oversee the development and management of customized on-line / blended modules for students and professional staff.
Work with Department of Technologyand Media Services to facilitate the planning and integration of emerging technologies in professional development to maximize teacher learning and retention.
Maintain the professional development website including, incorporating new technologies into the web site, uploading current information/resources, and communicating the culture of professional learning.
Provide leadership and support for the district Instructional Coach model and training.
Attend appropriate workshops and conferences.
Align district professional learning with best practices in effective design and delivery of professional development.
Prepare the budget and facilitates administration of the budget for professional learning supplies, resources, equipment, and facilities in area of assignment.
Disseminate information regarding current research, best practice, and significant developments on the state and national levels in area assigned.
Articulate the districts mission, instructional philosophy, and staff development strategy to both internal and external stakeholders to realize the districts mission.
Use effective communication skills to present information accurately and clearly.
Keep informed of and complies with state, district, and school regulations and policies.
Compile, maintain, and file all physical and computerized reports, records, and other documents required.
Coordinate with the Human Resources and Area Directors to ensure alignment with teacher evaluation training.
Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Education/Certification:
Valid Texas teaching certificate
Master's degree in Education
Mid Management or Principal Certification (preferred)
T-TESS Certification (preferred)

Special Knowledge/Skills:
Exceptional interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills
Knowledge of effective adult learning strategies
Strong skills in design and delivery of relevant and engaging training for the adult learner
Experience using technology to improve teaching and learning
Ability to analyze data for educational improvement and program evaluation
Strong background in curriculum and instruction
Ability to evaluate instructional program and teaching effectiveness
Ability to manage budget and personnel
Ability to interpret policy and procedures

Experience:
Campus level or district level leadership experience required
Salary Range: $105,000Actual salary will be calculated based on experience.
