| Qualifications: | Education/Certification/Licensure: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or extended supervisory experience in the field of transportation; preferred TAPT certification (Texas Association of Pupil Transportation)-required or must be obtained within the first year of employment. Valid Texas commercial driver’s license with school bus and passenger endorsements School Bus Driver Certification Special Knowledge/Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills Well-developed written and verbal skills Proficiency in transportation software, routing systems, and Microsoft Office Suite Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of student safety protocols and transportation regulations. Knowledge of legal issues of interviewing, hiring, performance evaluation, discipline and termination preferred Ability to manage budget and personnel Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities Experience: Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in transportation operations, preferably with public school districts |
