Description/Notes: PRIMARY PURPOSE
Manage the association’s professional development program to include planning, reviewing, scheduling, producing, supporting, and evaluating in-person, online, and hybrid learning events. Collaborate with association teams, content experts, presenters, and facilitators to deliver learner-centered experiences, provide thoughtful speaker management and support, engage members, and continuously improve the professional development program.
Qualifications: QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university.
• Experience working in a professional association, nonprofit membership organization, continuing education environment, or event-based organization preferred.

Knowledge
• Event planning and program management processes.
• Adult learning principles and instructional design practices.

Skills & Abilities
• Design, implement, evaluate, and improve learning experiences.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with members, presenters, facilitators, volunteers and partners.
• Communicate effectively with diverse audiences in written, verbal, and virtual settings.
• Utilize technology systems to support learning programs and event operations.
• Analyze and interpret program, participation, financial, and evaluation data to guide decision-making and continuous improvement.
• Exercise sound judgment in identifying challenges, resolving issues, and recommending solutions.
• Facilitate, produce, and/or support learner-centered virtual and in-person learning experiences for small and large groups.
• Adapt to changing priorities, manage ambiguity, and work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Experience
• Two years’ experience in association event planning and/or professional development preferred.
