| Description/Notes: | Primary Purpose: Coordinate the collection and reporting of district Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS) data. Prepare, compile, and maintain accurate confidential records in the Skyward Student Information System, and partner with Human Resources to ensure employee data accuracy and compliant PEIMS reporting. Meet state timelines. Train campus registrars in PEIMS reporting and district student information system. Qualifications: Education/Certification: High school diploma or GED; College degree preferred Special Knowledge/Skills: Ability to maintain accurate and auditable records Ability to develop spreadsheets, databases, and use word processing software Proficient keyboarding and file maintenance skills Ability to meet established deadlines Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to oversee PEIMS clerks and train in use of student information system and PEIMS Experience: Experience in school district administrative support position collecting and entering data. Major Responsibilities and Duties: Records and Reports Coordinate the collection, integration, and formatting of all data required for PEIMS submission according to PEIMS Data Standards. Prepare data collection in a timely manner and ensure Work cooperatively with campus, business office, and Human Resources staff to collect, organize, and format data required to submit district PEIMS data in a timely manner. Partner with Human Resources to reconcile and validate employee demographic, employment, assignment, contract, and position data; investigate discrepancies, coordinate corrections, and confirm accurate and timely PEIMS reporting. Run edits, reports, and verification checks on data to ensure accuracy of information. Distribute edits and reports to appropriate staff for analysis, verification, and correction. Submit complete and accurate PEIMS data in Texas Education Agency (TEA)-prescribed format to education service center (ESC) for processing using computer terminal or personal computer. Verify data submitted to TEA and submit corrections in a timely manner. Training and Technical Support Provide training and support to campuses and to business office and Human Resources staff responsible for processing PEIMS data and using Skyward. Receive PEIMS-related information from ESC and TEA and disseminate to other staff in a timely manner, including updates to PEIMS Data Standards. Attend all regional PEIMS workshops and disseminate information to appropriate staff. Provide monthly training to campus registrars on PEIMS data information, collection submission and student information system. Serve as the lead for registrars. Stay up to date in PEIMS and correct reporting; regularly attend training to ensure knowledge and understanding of PEIMS and student information systems. Other Comply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and local board policy. Compile, maintain, and file all physical and computerized reports, records, and other documents required. Other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
