| Description/Notes: | To support and enhance the quality of instruction for Emergent Bilinguals (EBs) at the secondary level. This position focuses on coaching teachers, improving instructional practices, and increasing student academic and language achievement within a multicultural and multilingual framework. |
| Qualifications: | Education/Certification: ● Bachelor’s Degree (required); Master’s degree from an accredited university/college (preferred) ● Valid Texas teaching certificate with ESL certification (required) Special Knowledge/Skills: ● Deep understanding of second language acquisition and best practices for EB instruction ● Expertise in supporting EB students ● Demonstrated effectiveness in coaching and mentoring teachers (preferred) ● Strong knowledge of Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and ELPS across content areas ● Proficient in analyzing student achievement and language proficiency data to inform instruction ● Effective communication and collaboration with diverse teams, including campus and district personnel Experience: ● Minimum three years of successful secondary ESL teaching experience ● Campus Teaching & Learning Coach experience (preferred) |
