| Description/Notes: | Are you a bilingual educator that holds a bachelor’s degree and are either certified or willing to become certified? Georgetown ISD invites both in-state and out-of-state candidates with advanced fluency in English and Spanish to apply! Georgetown Independent School District (GISD) is seeking bilingual educators to join our Dual Language Program. GISD’s program provides English Language Learners with a structured sequence of academic skills in their native language, as well as accelerated skill development in English language proficiency through English as a Second Language (ESL) methodology. The English Language Proficiency Standards (ELPS) are an integral part of the required curriculum in each subject of the TEKS and ensure that English Language Learners have the full opportunity to learn English and succeed academically. Our current program at GISD follows a 90/10 structure in PreK, to subsequently land on a 50/50 model in 3rd grade. |
| Qualifications: | Candidates with a bachelor’s degree and advanced fluency in both English and Spanish Certified Bilingual teachers (Bilingual Education Supplemental and the Bilingual Target Language Proficiency Test (BTLPT)). preferred. Dedicated dual-language educators committed to maximizing student success. Willingness to obtain a Texas Teaching Certification and Bilingual Certification. |
