| Description/Notes: | Provide executive leadership, strategic direction, and hands-on support for the district’s teaching and learning systems to ensure high-quality instruction, aligned curriculum implementation, effective professional learning, and improved student achievement. Direct and manage the district’s Teaching & Learning programs and personnel, including curriculum and instruction, advanced academics, early childhood, early literacy, language acquisition, professional development, intervention, instructional materials, and related instructional support systems. Collaborate directly with the Chief Academic Officer, deputy chiefs of school leadership, principals, directors, coordinators, specialists, and other district leaders to ensure that curriculum, instruction, professional learning, and academic supports are aligned to district goals and result in improved academic outcomes for all students. |
| Qualifications: | Education/Certification: •Master’s degree •Valid Texas teacher certificate •Mid-management or principal certificate (preferred) Special Knowledge/Skills: •Knowledge of curriculum design, instructional best practices, assessment, professional learning, and instructional leadership •Knowledge of state curriculum standards, instructional materials, academic interventions, advanced academics, early childhood, early literacy, multilingual programming, and language acquisition programs •Ability to lead districtwide systems for high-quality instruction and curriculum implementation •Ability to interpret student achievement data and evaluate instructional programs for effectiveness •Ability to design, implement, monitor, and refine systems that improve academic outcomes •Ability to lead, supervise, coach, and evaluate directors and other professional staff •Ability to manage multiple programs, priorities, budgets, and personnel effectively •Ability to collaborate with principals and district leaders to support campus instructional improvement •Ability to implement policy, procedures, and compliance requirements related to assigned instructional programs •Strong organizational, communication, public relations, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills Experience: •Minimum of three years of successful experience in educational leadership •Experience supervising staff and managing district-level programs preferred •Experience managing programs, budgets, and compliance requirements •Demonstrated success in improving student outcomes and/or organizational performance |
| Salary Range: | $112,948 to $152,814 |
