Description/Notes: Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Curriculum and Assessment
1. Work cooperatively with the campus principal to develop and supervise instructional programs in the assigned subject area.
2. Support the implementation of high-quality instructional materials (HQIM), including Bluebonnet Learning and other district-adopted resources.
3. Assist teachers in understanding and implementing the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS).
4. Participate in the district-level decision-making process to establish and review the district’s goals and objectives for classroom instructional programs. Ensure that goals and objectives are developed using effective collaborative processes and problem-solving techniques. 1
5. Assist the campus principal in evaluating instructional programs on an ongoing basis using data to determine effectiveness and improve outcomes.
6. Collaborate with the campus principal to maintain and revise curriculum documents based on a systematic review and analysis.
7. Assist in the ordering and use of departmental instructional aids and materials for the assigned subject area.
8. Provide curriculum and instructional support to ensure aligned instructional programs and effective implementation of district initiatives.
9. Assist instructional staff in evaluating and selecting instructional tools and materials to meet student learning needs.
10. Actively support the efforts of others to achieve district goals and objectives and campus performance objectives (academic excellence indicators).
11. Maintain a resource library of publications, supplementary materials, and supplies relevant to the assigned subject area.
Staff Development
12. Assist in planning and providing staff development for teachers and staff.
13. Provide individualized coaching and support based on teacher needs and campus goals.
14. Support professional learning communities (PLCs) through collaborative planning and data analysis.
15. Assist the campus principal in observing classroom instruction and provide feedback and assistance to classroom teachers to facilitate improvement and innovation. Demonstrate teaching strategies with students in the classroom.
Analysis and Collaboration
16. Help analyze and interpret compiled student test data to identify trends and opportunities.
17. Use student performance data to guide instructional decisions and improvement efforts.
18. Assist the campus principal with analysis and evaluation reports as required.
19. Collaborate with instructional leaders to develop, design, and select measurement instruments to assess the effectiveness of instructional programs and pilot projects.
Other
20. Maintain confidentiality regarding student and staff information.
21. Attend required meetings, trainings, and professional development activities. 2
22. Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents as required.
23. Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
24. Perform other duties as assigned by the principal or superintendent.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
As assigned by the campus principal.

Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment, including a personal computer and peripherals
Posture: Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting
Motion: Repetitive hand motions, frequent keyboarding, and use of mouse; occasional reaching
Lifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds)

Qualifications: Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Master’s degree from an accredited university with a major in the assigned subject preferred
Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for the subject assigned preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of curriculum design and implementation
Ability to interpret data and evaluate instruction programs and teaching effectiveness
Ability to develop and deliver training to adult learners
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience:
Three years of teaching experience in the subject area assigned preferred
Salary Range: Based on experience
