About the Role:

The Director of Employee Relations and Support leads the district's employee relations, leave administration, workers' compensation, unemployment, and ADA accommodation functions. The position reports to the Chief Human Resources Officer and supervises assigned Human Resource Services staff.

Description/Notes: Key Responsibilities:.

-Oversee employee relations, performance management, and workplace investigations for compliance with district guidelines, Board policy, and state and federal law.
-Manage the leave of absence program, including FMLA, ADA, Temporary Disability Leave, and other extended leave programs.
-Oversee ADA workplace accommodation evaluations, and guide supervisors and employees through leave, ADA, and workers' compensation claims.
-Oversee the unemployment claims process and related hearings.
-Manage and resolve employee escalations from intake through resolution.
-Oversee HRS technology applications in assigned areas, including user testing and training.
-Develop and update employee handbooks, resource manuals, records retention schedules, and related guidelines.
-Conduct needs assessments and deliver HR training on leave, ADA, employee relations, and related topics.
-Research practices from other districts and recommend research-based process improvements.
-Build performance monitoring measures and report to the CHRO and other district stakeholders.
-Develop training and policies that embed ethical practices across the district.
-Supervise, evaluate, and develop assigned staff.
-Ensure compliance with federal and state law, State Board of Education rules, and local Board policy.
Qualifications: -Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
-Four years of related experience, including two years in a supervisory capacity.
-Knowledge of HR methods and practices, federal and state labor standards (including FMLA and ADA), wage and salary administration, and supervisory practices.
-Skill in analyzing data and reports, communicating in writing and verbally, solving complex problems, and building consensus.
Salary Range: $102,598.40-$123,611.20
