Description/Notes: Primary Purpose:
The HR Investigator role will assist with unemployment claims and hearings in addition to acting as an impartial and unbiased fact-finder to conduct and manage investigations into allegations of employee discrimination, harassment, misconduct and related retaliation along with district policy violations and other workforce matters. Manages and works on complex to sensitive HR related cases associated with primarily employee/employee or employee/student alleged incidents. May assist with student/student cases if needed. Works collaboratively to deliver efficient and systematic resolution to investigations and serve as one of the in-house experts on investigation procedure and documentation. This role will work as part of a team to develop and deliver training resulting in the prompt, impartial, and thorough best practices of the investigation process.
Qualifications: Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Public Administration, Education, Law Enforcement or closely related field from an accredited college or university recognized by the US Department of Education
• Investigator certification from Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) or comparable law enforcement certification demonstrating skill in investigations preferred, obtain during employment
• Must have valid driver’s license, good driving record and available transportation during entire workday to travel to sites in the Humble ISD area

Experience:
• Three years of experience in compliance, HR compliance and/or leadership with extensive background in investigative procedures related to employment to include working with high profile cases and providing training to employees.
• Prior or current experience in unemployment claims and hearings helpful.
• Bilingual in Spanish helpful

Salary Range: Up to $83,780 commensureate with experience
