Description/Notes: PRIMARY PURPOSE
Direct the operation of the Center for Learning and Innovation (CLI). Provide resources, services, and instructional support that develop students’ information literacy, inquiry, critical thinking, creativity, and technology skills. Serve as an instructional partner, curriculum resource, and technology integration facilitator by collaborating with and supporting teachers to enhance instruction and improve student achievement.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Center for Learning and Innovation Programs
1. Plan and implement an effective CLI program that supports literacy, inquiry, creativity, innovation, and student achievement.

2. Develop and maintain print and digital collections that support curriculum and student interests.

3. Manage the acquisition, processing, organization, circulation, maintenance, and inventory of CLI resources.

4. Ensure equitable access to library, digital, and instructional resources.

5. Create a learning environment that is welcoming, student-centered, and conducive to learning.

Instructional Leadership
1. Collaborate with teachers and administrators to support curriculum, instruction, assessment, and student learning.

2. Model and support effective integration of technology, digital resources, inquiry-based learning, and innovative instructional practices.

3. Design and deliver professional learning to support district and campus instructional priorities.

4. Provide coaching, resources, and instructional support to teachers in all content areas.

5. Promote digital citizenship, responsible technology use, information literacy, and research skills.

Administration
1. Develop and manage the CLI budget based on documented program needs.

2. Compile, maintain, and submit required reports, records, inventories, and program documentation.

3. Conduct ongoing evaluation of the CLI program and implement improvements based on identified needs.

4. Support grant opportunities and other initiatives that enhance student learning and innovation.

5. Comply with all district, state, and federal requirements.

Collaboration and Support
1. Collaborate with campus and district staff to support instructional initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.

2. Assist teachers in identifying, evaluating, and utilizing instructional resources and technology tools.

3. Participate in campus leadership activities and contribute to district and campus goals.

4. Collaborate with the district FLI team to support consistency and implementation of district initiatives.

School and Community Relations
1. Promote family and community engagement through literacy, digital learning, and instructional initiatives.

2. Communicate effectively with students, staff, families, and community members regarding CLI programs and services.

Other
1. Maintain confidentiality.

2. Model integrity and ethics in a manner exemplary of the Educator Code of Ethics.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Direct the work of volunteers and student aides.

Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including computer and peripherals; standard library equipment including imaging equipment; standard instruction equipment

Posture: Regular sitting, standing, kneeling, squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting

Motion: Repetitive hand motions; frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; regular overhead reaching and climbing ladders

Lifting: Frequent light lifting and carrying (under 15 pounds); occasional moderate lifting and carrying (15-44 pounds)

Environment: Work inside; work alone; exposure to biological and chemical hazards such as mold and dust

Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress
Qualifications: Education/Certification:
• Master’s Degree in library and information science from accredited college or university

• Valid Texas school librarian certificate or endorsement

Special Knowledge/Skills:
• Ability to instruct and manage student behavior

• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Experience:
• Three years classroom teaching experience

• Experience teaching a variety of grade levels/subject areas preferred

• Experience as a teacher-leader or teacher-coach preferred

• Experience in educational technology preferred
Salary Range: $59,389 to $82,013 Per Year
