| Qualifications: | Education/Certification: Master's degree from an accredited college or university Valid Texas teaching certificate Valid Texas educational diagnostician certificate Special Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations that address students with disabilities Excellent organizational, communication, and collaborative, problem-solving skills High standards of professional competence Experience: Three years of teaching experience Primary Responsibilities: Comply with federal and state laws Consultation service to campus personnel Implement assessment procedures that address all categories of disabilities Access the resources and strategies that address student learning rates and learning styles Link assessment data with research-based interventions Participate in Admission, Review & Dismissal (ARD) committee meetings. Integrate data from both an RTI model and a comprehensive evaluation of cognitive abilities/processes |
