| Qualifications: | Requirements - Master’s degree in School Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field. - Valid state certification or licensure as a school counselor. - Experience working with elementary-aged children in a counseling or educational setting preferred. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and staff. - Knowledge of child development, mental health issues, and effective counseling techniques. - Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently manage a caseload. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain confidentiality. - Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the school community. - CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain. - Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of students and the school environment. |
