Royal ISD is one of the fastest growing school districts in Texas with 6 campuses located approximately 8 miles west of Katy (Houston area). RISD grew 19% in student enrollment during the 25-26 school year and opened two new facilities, a new elementary school and Ag-Expo Center. The district currently has 3,200 students and is expected to grow to 9,000-11,000 students in the next 5-7 years. The district will be opening the 7th campus (a new 3,000 student high school) during the 2028-2029 school year, and constructing a new $72 million dollar stadium (approved by voters May 2026).

Description/Notes: The primary role of the Executive Director of Support Programs & Secondary Education is to provide visionary leadership in the areas of student learning, support programs, classroom instruction, data analysis, and accountability oversight to ensure a successful educational program that meets the needs of all learners-and ensures high achievement for student growth and academic performance. The Executive Director will provide leadership, guidance, recommendations, and support for all areas of student and teacher growth (6-12th grades), and development for assigned areas as well as through managing program support for all students, including: student services, social services, nursing, advanced academics, and counseling. Develop and monitor compliance processes and systems to ensure that the Royal ISD and campuses achieve and maintain 100% compliance with fiscal and programmatic accountability standards. Oversee assigned campuses and ensure campuses meet at least an academically acceptable accountability rating.
Qualifications: Education/Certification:
-Master’s degree in education from an approved educational institution (Required)
-Valid Texas teacher certificate (Required)
-Valid Texas Mid-Management or other appropriate Texas administrative certificate (Required)


Experience:
-Three (3) years successful teaching experience in public schools at JH or High School Level
-Five (5) years successful 6-12th grade campus leadership as an assistant principal or principal in public schools (can be combined 5 years)
-District leadership experience with oversight of Directors or Support Programs (preferred)
Salary Range: Salary: $112,781-$140,000 (Based on Experience)
