| Description/Notes: | Primary Purpose: Direct and manage instructional program and supervise operations and personnel at campus level. Provide leadership to ensure high standards of instructional service. Oversee compliance with district policies, success of instructional programs, and operation of all campus activities. |
| Qualifications: | Education/Certification: *Master’s degree from a recognized, accredited college or university *Valid Texas Standard Principal or Mid Management certification *Current certification in Texas Teachers Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS) is required Special Knowledge/Skills: *Exemplifies instructional leadership, effective communication skills, personal integrity, collaborative leadership style and personal scholarship *Demonstrates ability to interpret data and address needs of school & community *Working knowledge of curriculum and instruction; ability to evaluate an instructional program and teaching effectiveness *Ability to manage budget and personnel and to coordinate campus functions *Ability to implement policies and procedures *Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills Experience: *Minimum of three years experience as a classroom teacher *Minimum of two years experience in instructional leadership roles preferred *Minimum of three years experience in an administrative role; assistant principal experience strongly preferred |
