| Description/Notes: | Available Positions Austin Elementary (2 Openings) • Pre-K 3 — Bilingual Teacher • Pre-K — Bilingual Teacher Zavala Elementary (3 Openings) • 3rd Grade — Bilingual Teacher • 4th Grade — Bilingual Teacher • 5th Grade — Bilingual Teacher Pecos-Barstow-Toyah ISD is seeking five dedicated and passionate Bilingual Teachers to serve students at Austin Elementary and Zavala Elementary. Successful candidates will deliver high-quality, dual-language instruction that supports the academic, linguistic, and social-emotional growth of English Language Learners. These positions reflect our ongoing commitment to equity, access, and excellence for every student in our district. |
| Qualifications: | Required: • Valid Texas teaching certificate with Bilingual Education supplemental or ESL certification (or eligibility) • Strong understanding of second language acquisition theory and bilingual instructional strategies • Commitment to high expectations and student-centered learning Preferred: • Prior experience in a bilingual or dual-language classroom setting • Familiarity with PBTISD's curriculum frameworks and instructional materials • Experience with TELPAS and language proficiency assessment practices |
