Description/Notes: PRIMARY FUNCTION The Project Manager provides coordination, organization, and operational support for the Teaching & Learning Department and serves as Special Assistant to the Chief Academic Officer (CAO). This role manages academic projects from planning to completion, monitors timelines and deliverables, and ensures alignment with district priorities. The Project Manager also supports communication, documentation, and follow-through on the CAO’s initiatives, providing a critical link between the CAO’s office, campuses, and district departments. QUALIFICATIONS Education/Certification: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university Master degree preferred Valid Texas teaching certificate Special Knowledge/Skills: Strong organizational and project management skills Ability to manage multiple complex projects and meet deadlines Knowledge of academic initiatives, curriculum, and accountability systems preferred Strong data analysis, documentation, and reporting skills Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills Effective interpersonal and problem-solving abilities Proficiency with productivity tools (Microsoft Office, Google Suite, project management software) Experience: Minimum of 5 years in education, project management, or related field Experience coordinating district-level or cross-departmental projects preferred EVALUATION Performance will be evaluated annually in accordance with provision of the Board’s policy on evaluation of personnel. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 1. Serve as project manager for key Teaching & Learning initiatives, ensuring deliverables are met on time and within scope. 2. Support the Chief Academic Officer by tracking academic priorities, deadlines, and follow-up actions. Page | 1 3. Develop project plans, timelines, and progress monitoring tools to ensure accountability for initiatives. 4. Coordinate cross-departmental projects related to curriculum, instruction, assessment, and special programs. 5. Prepare reports, presentations, and data summaries for the CAO, Cabinet, Board of Trustees, and other stakeholders. 6. Manage the technology needs of the Teaching & Learning Department, including oversight of departmental websites, public portals, and digital communication tools to ensure accurate, timely, and user-friendly information sharing. 7. Facilitate communication between the CAO’s office, campuses, and central departments. 8. Monitor compliance with state and district requirements related to Teaching & Learning initiatives. 9. Maintain documentation of project progress, decisions, and outcomes. 10. Assist in organizing professional learning events, committee meetings, and leadership team sessions. 11. Provide logistical and administrative support to the CAO as needed. 12. Support grant-funded and special academic projects, ensuring deliverables align with funding requirements. 13. Adhere to professional and ethical standards, in accordance with generally accepted community standards and the Texas Education Agency Code of Ethics. 14. Develop needed professional skills appropriate to job performance. 15. Maintain confidentiality. 16. Reliable attendance and punctuality. 17. Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures. 18. Participate in staff development activities to improve job-related skills. 19. Attend and participate in staff meetings and serve on staff committees as required. 20. Comply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and local board policy. 21. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor and the Superintendent of Schools.

Salary Range: Minimum salary starting at $74,477
