| Description/Notes: | Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary individual to lead our technology initiatives at Milano Independent School District. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of technology strategies that align with our organizational goals. This role requires a deep understanding of current technology trends, exceptional leadership abilities, and a commitment to fostering innovation within the District. The Director of Technology will play a crucial role in driving efficiency, enhancing user experience, and ensuring the security and integrity of our technology systems. Milano ISD is an apple district. Every teacher has a MacBook Air, and every student has an iPad. We are on a 4 year replacement cycle for those devices. Milano ISD has an IFP and access point in every classroom as well. Responsibilities - Develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy that supports the business objectives of Milano Independent School District. - Lead and manage the technology team, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. - Oversee the planning, implementation, and maintenance of technology infrastructure, including hardware, software, and network systems. - Collaborate with Campus Principals and Administration to identify technology needs and provide solutions that enhance operational efficiency and user experience. - Ensure the security and compliance of all technology systems, implementing best practices for data protection and risk management. - Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact on the organization. - Establish and maintain relationships with technology vendors and partners to ensure access to the latest tools and resources. |
| Qualifications: | Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. - Minimum of 5 years of experience in technology management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. - Proven experience in developing and implementing technology strategies that drive business success. - Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, software development, cybersecurity, and data management. - Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. - Experience managing budgets and vendor relationships. - Familiarity with regulatory compliance and best practices in technology governance. |
