Description/Notes: | Primary Purpose: Work collaboratively and cooperatively with administrators, teachers, staff and community to develop support structures for all students through Behavior Response to Intervention (RtI) and Section 504 processes. Qualifications: Education/Certification: Bachelors Degree; Master’s degree and campus administration experience preferred. Major Responsibilities and Duties: Respond to and resolve parent complaints and student-related problems. Serve as District Title IX Coordinator. Serve as resource for campus administrators in the resolution of problems or conflicts with parents and students. Manage all aspects of Section 504 including the regular evaluation of accommodations, compliance, monitoring, and document management to meet the education needs of students eligible for services. Oversee the development and implementation of a balanced and comprehensive counseling program that is consistent with District goals and objectives including responsive services for students. Serve as lead regarding compliance of counseling program with all federal and state regulations. In conjunction with campus principals, coordinates professional development for counselors. Work with campus principals in the hiring and evaluating of campus counselors. Conduct regular meetings with counselors to update and support regarding counseling-related issues. Serve as resource to administrators and teachers for Section 504 and counseling-related issues. Serve as Trainer of Trainers for CHAMPS, Restorative Practices, and Trauma-Informed Care and conduct training sessions for staff. Serve as lead for the District’s Crisis Response Team. Serve as coordinator for the District’s Parent Teacher Organization (PTO). Coordinate school, home, and community resources to enable students and parents to be referred to special programs and services, as needed. Report problem regarding the District, which requires awareness, to the Assistant Superintendent of Student Services. Comply with all federal and state laws, Texas Education Agency regulations and Board policy. Perform other tasks as may be assigned by Supervisor/Superintendent. Salary Range: | $74,910 - $106,434 |
