Plans for, administers, develops, implements and provides oversight of all fundraising activities and Foundation programs in accordance with the Foundation’s stated mission and goals and in such a manner that optimum results are achieved in relation to the resources of the Foundation and District. Operates under the general direction of the PfISD Chief Communications Officer and Foundation’s Board of Directors.


Major Responsibilities:

Key Responsibility Area: District Partnerships
1. Serve as official Liaison between Pflugerville Education Foundation and District to create a lasting partnership
2. Oversee District volunteer program, including all campus and district metrics.
3. Serve as liaison between District and campus parent-teacher organizations. Develop and implement two-way communication program with organizations.

Key Responsibility Area: Fund Development
4. Develops, implements and provides overall direction of all fundraising activities for Foundation.
5. Personally, raises a significant proportion of each year’s funds.
6. Involves Board and appropriate District personnel in development activities, effectively utilizes District and Community resources, and provides fund development training for members as appropriate.
7. Participates with District staff and Board members in targeted funding requests.
8. Works with the Board of Directors to manage the organization, fund development, public relations and communications, and strategic/tactical planning.

Key Responsibility Area: Community Relations & Awareness
9. Maintains effective relationships with local professional and community organizations and actively participates as a member where appropriate.
10. Serves as the primary face of the Foundation development to the community. Interprets the function of the Foundation to the community through direct involvement and public relations programs, including personal contact, literature, media and social media.
11. Assures development and implementation of marketing programs to support community awareness, program participation and fundraising.
12. Administers orientation and training programs for Foundation Board members as appropriate.

Key Responsibility Area: Program Development and Administration
13. Develops and recommends to the District and Board of Directors specific, written long and short-range plans for the development and editing of Foundation programs and services consistent with the Foundation’s mission and resources and that complement the goals as identified by Pflugerville ISD.
14. Evaluates Foundation programs and services in relation to specified goals and standards, and recommends modification, where appropriate.

Key Responsibility Area: General Administration
15. Provides consistent, clear communication to Foundation Board Members and District.
16. Recommends policies to the District and Board and/or assists in the formulation of policies for the effective and economical operation of the Foundation.
17. Ensures implementation of Foundation policies adopted by the Board.
18. Assumes chief administrative responsibility and legal obligations for public accountability of the Foundation, maintenance of Foundation assets, and regular reporting to various bodies.
19. Assures maintenance of databases and on-going communication with all Foundation constituencies, including donors, program participants etc.
20. Assures preparation of Foundation budget and is accountable for control of these resources, once approved.
21. Supervises and directs key staff, including volunteers in the performance of their duties; evaluates the performance of key staff member(s); and provides overall control and direction for the personnel function of the Foundation, including active participation in or approval of personnel actions.
22. Follows all rules, regulations, and policies of Pflugerville ISD and directives from superiors.
23. Follows attendance policy as assigned by supervisor.
24. Other duties as assigned or necessary.
Qualifications: Qualifications (Experience/Education/Certification):
Bachelor’s Degree (Marketing, Public Relations or Business concentration beneficial); Master’s Degree preferred (may substitute 3 years’ experience for advanced degree); Certified Fundraising Executive or five years of fundraising and supervisory or managerial experience in not-for-profit sector or related field required. Experience in a public school district is helpful. Experience working with a volunteer board of directors preferred.
Salary Range: $104,970-$142,016 (Based on the 2024-2025 school year compensation plan; salary range may change for the 2025-2026 school year)
