Description/Notes: | Support students as they develop the skills necessary for post-secondary employment, independent living, and community integration. This role focuses on providing instruction aligned to each student's IEP, with an emphasis on vocational, functional, and transitional goals in both classroom and community-based settings. Key Responsibilities: Deliver instruction in vocational, life, and employability skills based on individual student needs Develop and implement IEPs in compliance with state and federal regulations Coordinate work-based learning experiences both on and off campus Collaborate with general education teachers, job coaches, community partners, and families Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation Support students in transition planning and preparation for life after high school |
Qualifications: | Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s preferred) Valid [State] teaching certification in Special Education (EC–12 or Secondary level) Experience with vocational training, transition services, or workforce development preferred Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Ability to adapt instruction and manage varying levels of student ability and independence |
