Primary Purpose:

The Financial Programmer Analyst will serve as the primary administrator for the organization's ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system, ensuring its optimal performance, security, and usability. This role involves maintaining system configurations, managing user access, supporting integrations, troubleshooting issues, and developing enhancements to align the ERP solution with business needs. The financial programmer analyst, under the direction of the Director of Data Services & PEIMS, will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement and ensure the ERP system effectively supports organizational operations.



Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).



Special Knowledge/Skills

Knowledge of a broad range of relevant multi-user systems, applications, and/or equipment.
Skilled in planning, design, installation, testing, and modification of basic systems or supporting subsystems.
Support system upgrades, patches, and new module implementations, including planning, testing, and deployment
Experience with system integration, APIs, and scripting languages (PowerShell, JavaScript or similar)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to troubleshoot complex technical issues effectively
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Ability to evaluate and interpret information systems proposals of limited scope or assist in the analysis of larger projects; capable of developing solutions based on defined requirements and deliverables.
Skilled in diagnosing and resolving issues related to servers and applications.
Experience with IIS, MS SQL Server, and SQL Reporting Services
Proficient in managing multiple operating systems, including Windows Server, and understanding of network protocols
Proficiency in SQL and experience with database management and reporting tools
Working knowledge of ETL principles and SFTP file transfers
Knowledge of identity access management tools and account lifecycle management.
Strong knowledge of data privacy regulations, and security best practices.
Knowledge of disaster recovery planning, data safety and integrity, and development of bulk import/export procedures
Familiarity with change enablement processes and the ITIL framework is a plus


Experience:

5+ years of experience performing system installation, upgrades, management and maintenance
2+ years of experience of server administration and support preferred



Essential Job Functions:

Serve as the primary administrator for the ERP system and related applications, managing day-to-day operations, maintenance, and performance monitoring
Configure, customize, and support ERP modules to meet business and operational requirements
Manage user accounts, roles, permissions, and security settings within the ERP environment
Troubleshoot and resolve ERP system issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations
Collaborate with business units to analyze needs, recommend solutions, and implement ERP enhancements
Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and data extracts using ERP tools and SQL queries
Support system upgrades, patches, and new module implementations, including planning, testing, and deployment
Ensure data integrity and compliance with organizational policies and industry standards
Work with third-party vendors, consultants, and internal teams to support system integrations and external interfaces
Document system configurations, processes, procedures, and change history
Provide training and support to end users to ensure effective use of ERP functionality
Stay current with ERP software updates, best practices, and emerging technologies
Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state laws, State Board of Education regulations, and local board policies
Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or administrators, in alignment with the responsibilities of the position

There will also be extensive travel to district sites as assigned. Regularly sit, talk or hear; frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; frequent repetitive hand motions; prolonged use of computer; occasionally lift and/or move up to 10-50 pounds; occasionally required to stand, walk reach with hands and arms; vision abilities include close vision; and color vision, regularly work with frequent interruptions, maintain emotional control under stress; the noise level is usually moderate. Some weekends and evening hours may be required.



Work environment includes typical computer related noise levels and paper and equipment generated dust. Exposure to video display terminals occurs on a regular basis. Incumbent is on call to provide support services during off hours. Periodically scheduled night and weekend work is required. Learned physical skill is required for keyboarding and use of peripheral equipment.



Employees carry out system and network administration functions independently, with a sound understanding of the interactions between hardware, operating system software and network operations and the design and administrative requirements to ensure an efficient, reliable, secure infrastructure.



The employee is expected to bring projects to conclusion, including development of operating procedures, instruction and training, and required documentation. Work is performed, and technical decisions made with some latitude for independent judgment. Regularly perform multiple, highly complex tasks with a need to periodically upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions and compliance with legal guidelines.
