CENTER RESPONSIBILITIES

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES



Provide supports for Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE)
Specify a continuum of no-tech, low-tech, and high-tech solutions and strategies and make recommendations for acquisition and implementation for Assistive Technology support
Provide High Quality Technical Assistance and Professional Development in the areas of Special Education eligibility determination through the administration and interpretation of the most commonly used assessment instruments for all areas of eligibility and assist IEP Development and Implementation
Provide High Quality Technical Assistance and Professional Development in the areas of Special Education Child Find and Referral to ensure that students with disabilities have appropriate services designed to help students make progress in the general curriculum
Provide High Quality Technical Assistance and Professional Development in the areas of assessment processes, advanced data interpretation, full individual evaluation writing and Properly Constituted ARD procedures
Provide High Quality Technical Assistance and Professional Development in the areas of evaluation, collection, maintenance, graphing and analysis of student’s data in order to monitor and evaluate student progress and IEP effectiveness
Provide High Quality Technical Assistance and Professional Development to LEA general and special education staff in monitoring processes to ensure IEPs are implemented with fidelity across a continuum of instructional settings
Provide High Quality Technical Assistance and Professional Development in the area of Speech Language Pathology and Autism
Evaluate the impact of training, products and services on the performance of students receiving special education services
Complete and maintain SBIEP training TOT and coaching requirements to oversee the required metrics and Fidelity of Implementation rubric requirements
Create, track, maintain and successfully meet goal metrics for assigned network/initiative activities [Child Find and IEP Supports, Autism]
Collaborate with department staff to maintain, track and report SECIP goal activity for quarterly reporting
Participate in designated local and state (e.g. networks) professional development activities, share information with ESC staff and appropriate regional personnel
Act as the first point of contact for LEAs, agencies and other stakeholders for special education eligibility, ARD processes, evaluation, child find, autism, and FAPE
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS



Travel (meaning to drive one’s own vehicle) to and from LEAs to fulfill program and project specifications are required. Out of region travel may also be required. Coordinate and deliver effective training, staff development, and technical assistance in areas pertinent to the program or project.
Process required paperwork and reports in a timely manner
Model effective uses of technology in personal productivity and instructional applications
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT



Other duties as assigned by supervisor of Executive Director
Up to 226 working days
This is an at-will employment position.
In the event of an economic slump, a reduction-in-force may be necessary. Employees will be notified in writing.

Qualifications: QUALIFICATIONS



Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years’ experience in the field of special education required. Master’s Degree required
Licensed Specialist in School Psychology/School Psychologist (LSSP)(SP) or Certified Educational Diagnostician
Specialized knowledge in special education, special education eligibility processes, special education evaluation, child find, FAPE
Recommended by the Executive Director
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Executive Director may find appropriate and acceptable
Salary Range: Starts at $87,413.
