| Description/Notes: | Bandera ISD is seeking a dynamic Special Educator for the Elementary Life Skills classroom (ALE) at Hill Country Elementary School for the 2025-26 school year. Job Description: Applicant will provide Special Education Life Skills students with learning activities and experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Start Date: July 28, 2025 Additional District Information: Bandera ISD is a 4-Day instructional week district (Mon.-Thurs.) Additional Information/Requirements: - Develop, modify and prepare curricula to ensure high quality instruction based upon student abilities and skill levels - Collaborate with students, parents, and other members of staff to develop IEPs through the ARD process for each assigned student - Work cohesively with the Special Education Department staff in a self-contained team atmosphere - Work cooperatively with regular education classroom teachers to modify curricula, and assist Special Education students in the regular classroom - Participate in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) - Participate in staff development activities and improve job-related skills - Supervise assigned teacher aides when applicable |
| Qualifications: | - Bachelor's degree from an accredited university - Valid Texas Teaching Certificate with required endorsements for subject/level assigned - ESL Certification Highly Preferred |
| Salary Range: | Based on experience as per the 2025-26 BISD Teacher Salary Schedule |
