Description/Notes: | Primary Purpose: Organize and supervise maintenance, repair, and installation of HVAC systems and equipment, electrical and plumbing systems, services, and equipment for the district. Maintain and provide for the safe condition and operation of all HVAC, electrical and plumbing fixtures and systems in district facilities. Review HVAC Building Automation Systems on a regular basis to for the purpose of energy efficiency and to create work orders for systems that are not functioning properly. |
Qualifications: | Education/Certification: High school diploma or GED Bachelor’s Degree, preferred Valid Texas driver’s license Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Refrigerant Transition and Recovery/Certification, preferred Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (ACR) Class A Mechanical Contractor License, preferred Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) Electrical License, preferred Special Knowledge/Skills: Specific knowledge of building repair and maintenance including electrical repair; heating, ventilation, and air conditioning Specific knowledge of electrical circuits and wiring and operating principles of motors Specific knowledge of National Electrical Code and local ordinances. Ability to independently operate and troubleshoot building automation systems “BAS” and HVAC controls. The district currently utilizes BAS from Schneider Electric General knowledge of other crafts used in building repair and maintenance Ability to manage personnel Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and written reference material Preventative maintenance as needed to prevent major repairs in an emergency or downtime. Resource Management: Conservation of electricity and water. Effective planning and organizational skills Experience: 8 years commercial maintenance or energy management, mechanical systems design, construction and/or maintenance experience, or closely related field Two years supervisory experience, preferred |
Salary Range: | Number of Days: 260 Salary Range: $91,780 - $114,660 based on experience |
