| Description/Notes: | - Provide leadership and support in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the district's comprehensive literacy program for grades PreK-12 - Ensure effective literacy instruction, assessment, and intervention practices across all content areas - Support teachers and campus administrators in building strong literacy foundations for all students |
| Qualifications: | Education/Certification: Master's degree in education, reading, or related field Valid Texas teaching certification Reading Specialist certification (preferred) Experience in literacy coaching or instructional leadership (preferred) Special Knowledge/Skills: Strong knowledge of research-based literacy instruction and best practices Understanding of structured literacy frameworks and reading intervention strategies Experience with literacy assessment tools and data analysis Knowledge of state literacy standards and requirements Knowledge of Research-Based Instructional Practices (RBIS) Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively with district staff, principals, teachers, and parents Effective coaching and presentation skills Proficiency in developing and delivering professional development Understanding of dyslexia identification and support services Experience: Minimum of 5 years teaching experience with emphasis in literacy instruction Experience in instructional coaching or teacher mentoring (preferred) Experience in curriculum development and implementation Background in literacy intervention programs |
